ICT as an Informative tool

                 Definition 
Informative tool refers to applications which provide vast repositories of information/ content to learners.
ICT (Information and Communication Technology) as an informative tool means using technology to collect, share, and understand information. It includes using the internet, computers, projectors, videos, e-books, and educational websites to help students and teachers find knowledge easily. ICT provides access to a wide range of information from around the world, making learning more interesting and up-to-date. Instead of depending only on textbooks, students can use ICT to explore many different sources and ideas to deepen their understanding.



Various format of informative tool

1. Image 
Refers to picture, diagram, charts, and visual materials to present information in a clear and meaningful way. It helps learners understand ideas quickly because visuals can explain complex topics more easily than long texts. When used in teaching, image formats such as photos, infographics, maps, and drawings make learning more attractive and memorable.

2. Animation
Refers to the moving image, graphics, or sequences to present information, in a visual and engaging way. It helps learners understand complex ideas or processes more easily by showing how things work step by step. Animations can include 2D or 3D videos, simulations, interactive models, or motion graphics that explain concepts clearly.


3. Video
Refers to recorded moving images and sound to present information, explain concepts, or demonstrate processes. Videos combine visuals, audio, and sometimes text to make learning more engaging and easier to understand. Video enhances learning by making lessons interactive, clear, and memorable.
4. Text 
Refers to written words, sentences, or paragraphs to share information, ideas, and knowledge. It is one of the most common and basic tools for communication and learning. Text can appear in books, articles, worksheets, slides, websites, or digital documents, helping students to read , understand, and analyze information.


5. Sound
Refers to audio elements like voice, music, or other noises that can be used to convey information. Sound is a powerful medium because it can explain concepts, give instructions, or provide feedback without the need for reading text.




 Reflection/ Write-up on  Informative Tool
ICT plays a very important role in education today. It has changed the way we learn and teach. I believe ICT helps students become more independent, active, and curious learners. Through ICT, students can search for any topic, watch educational videos, and read online materials that explain lessons in simple and creative ways.

Through informative tool learning becomes more fun and meaningful. For example, instead of just reading about a science topic, students can watch a real experiment online or use an animation to see how things work. This helps them to understand concepts better and stay interested in learning.

ICT also helps students think critically because they learn to choose the right information from many online sources. It builds confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. As a future teacher, I see ICT as a bridge that connects classroom learning to the real world. It allows students to explore, ask questions, and find answers on their own.

In my opinion, ICT as an informative tool does not replace teachers — it supports them. Teachers guide students in using ICT wisely and safely. When used correctly, ICT makes teaching and learning more engaging, effective, and modern.


How to Integrate Informative Tool in the Classroom


1. I will use projectors or smartboards to show pictures, videos, and presentations related to the lesson. This will help students visualize what they are learning and makes lessons more interesting and easy to understand. And also this will help students to grasp concepts faster and keep their attention focused. 

2. I will make quizzes like Kahoot to make lessons fun and interactive. I will use quiz after I finished teaching my lesson to check whether my students have understood the lesson. This will helps students to keep engaged and also help them to remember what they learn.



3. I will also let students to read e-books or online articles for deeper understanding. It will promotes reading habits and also help them to access up-to-date information from various sources.

It allows learners to think deeply, explore ideas, and create new things using digital tools such as word, google classroom, Camtasia,  ppt, and mind maps.
