 ICT as a Communicative tool

Definition

ICT (Information and Communication Technology) as a communicative tool means using technology to share ideas, exchange information, and connect with others. It helps teachers and students communicate easily through tools like emails, chats, video calls, social media, and learning platforms. With ICT, people can talk, collaborate, and learn together even when they are far apart.

Write-up/ Reflection on Communicative Tool

Communicative tool plays a very important role in today’s education system. It helps teachers and students stay connected, share information, and work together easily. Communication is one of the main purposes of using ICT because it allows people to exchange ideas instantly, even from different places.

Through communicative tool, teaching and learning have become more interactive. Teachers can send messages, announcements, or learning materials using email or classroom apps. Students can also ask questions or share their thoughts without waiting for the next class. This helps in creating a more open and supportive learning environment where everyone can participate freely.

ICT tools such as video calls, online discussion forums, and social media make communication faster and more interesting. For example, a teacher can organize an online meeting for revision, or students can work together on a group project using Google Docs. These tools make learning more engaging and help students understand topics better through collaboration and discussion.

Moreover, communicative tool encourages students to use digital platforms responsibly. They learn how to communicate politely, share opinions, and give feedback online. These are very useful life skills in the modern world. It also helps students become confident in expressing themselves, not only in the classroom but also in real-life situations.

How to integrate communicative tool

1. I will create email lists or group chat on telegram app for the class to share announcements, homework, and reminders. Students can also ask questions or clarify doubts through these platforms. This makes communication faster and ensures everyone gets the information on time.

2. If there is pandemic like 2019 pandemic then I will video calls my students through platforms like Zoom and Google Meet to use for group discussions, virtual lessons, or even guest lectures. It connects students and teachers in real-time, even if they are in different locations, making learning more interactive.

3. I will let my students to work together on assignments or projects using collaborative tools like Google Docs. So that everyone can contribute and share their ideas, give feedback on their topic, and they can discuss their work online. This teaches teamwork and effective communication.
